My gender is like Mercury. Non-confirming and when I go Retrograde against the idea and label that people place on me they freak out.
Don't get me wrong. Labels and Boxes are great to get a sense of yourself. I use them to explain the way I look, work and feel - but the feeling inside? Simply Lola.
And how I express myself ; who I love and how I love is none of your business unless I decided to speak about it. It's hard enough that people on the Ace Spectrum get barely seen or accepted inside and outside the community. We need to change that and stop pressing and limiting people into labels and stop pressing love into the box of romance all the time. IT'S A SPECTRUM. And when someone identifies as Ace each story is different and it's none of your business to judge people in their own expression.
Love has No Gender. And the way we show love and express it is a spectrum. Sorry to burst your bubble, Susan but not everthing is about s@x these days. Love as a spectrum is shown in so many ways. Love for my creators. Love for my family. Love for my friends. Love for art. And yeah eventually when I decide that the time is right that unconditional love that is exclusive to one person only. But that kind of love takes time and I am finally appreciating myself and the way I am so much that I know I am worth it of it too. No more superficial bullshit.
I want connection and creation & most of the time just being a genuine fool! We need more VISION-AIR.
It's sad to see that so many people in the industry question your motives when so many souls are genuine.
Tells you a lot how FCKed up certain systematic roots are and how much work we still have to do.
I don't give a flying fck about someone elses private life unless they open up about it on their own. And you should too. Because unnecessary Gossip is still one of the reasons why people are afraid to express love in whatever way they want to.
Beyond that I want to see more boundaries and consent. You can be a person in public and still have your boundaries. Don't worship people. Don't idolise them. Don't objectify and treat people like a piece of flesh. Treat them as human beings.
Support means being there for the sake of art and not for the sake of whatever version you make up in your own mind based on the outside perception.
And to my Creative Arts Gang. Use. Your. Voice. We all have one. It's time to dare your truth and show who we truly are regardless of the industry standard and what society says. Be your own standard. But with consent. Cause consent is sexy. And we all need to give a little bit of more fcks and show love and art in our truth regardless of judgement.
